Once upon a time, when I was a little kid, my friends were watching Power Rangers and were reading Harry Potter stories. I, on the other hand, was reading WhatCar, Autocar and EVO magazines — trying to understand every word, cover to cover. While others memorised spells, I was memorising prices from the back pages. I wanted to understand what made a Ford Escort Cosworth so much better than the Escort LX. Why Jaguar cars were considered icons, yet somehow always lost comparison tests to the Germans. How did the 2001 Proton Satria managed to score just one star at most tests? I mean how bad can it be?
Back in school, while others focused on the blackboard, I was quietly playing my own game – guessing the passing cars, purely by the sound of their engines. While other kids looked forward to playing after school, I couldn’t wait to take my dad’s Mitsubishi L100 pickup for a joy ride. Crap car but I was loving it.
Years later, after getting my driver’s license, I was spending hundreds of euros on fuel — back when fuel was 90c/litre. I drove anywhere and everywhere: motorways, city streets, mountain roads. My old bimmer’s seat became my safe place.
Life didn’t give me the chance to turn my passion into a business — until now.
Nowdays, I see people trying to sell their cars on platforms where their listings get buried or overlooked. Even after paying to promote their ads, they’re met with low-ball offers, no-shows, and unnecessary hassle. In the end, they settle — often trading their car for far less than it’s worth.
I also see buyers — frustrated, overwhelmed, and unsure. Wading through poorly written listings with bad photos, booking viewings, only to discover the car was never serviced and the photos were taken 6 years ago.
That’s why I created Car Addicts — a place where both buyers and sellers are respected. Where every car is inspected, professionally photographed, and showcased properly. A place where the right cars find the right people, and where passion drives everything we do.
When skilled professionals handle the inspection, photography, and presentation, only genuinely good, well-prepared cars make it to auction.
