Once upon a time, when I was a kid, most of my friends were glued to cartoons and fantasy novels. I, on the other hand, was reading What Car?, Autocar and EVO magazines, trying to understand every word, cover to cover. I wanted to know what made a Ford Escort Cosworth so much better than an Escort LX. Why Jaguar was considered an icon, yet often lost comparison tests to the Germans. And how a 2001 Proton Satria could manage just one star in most reviews — honestly, how bad could it be?
At school, while others focused on the blackboard, I was quietly playing my own game: identifying passing cars purely by the sound of their engines. And while most kids couldn’t wait to finish homework and go play, I was counting the minutes until I could take my dad’s Mitsubishi L100 pickup for a drive. It wasn’t a good car — but I loved every minute of it.
Years later, after getting my driver’s licence, I spent hundreds of euros on fuel — back when it was 90 cents a litre. I drove everywhere: motorways, city streets, mountain roads. My old BMW became more than transport; it became my space to think, reset, and feel at ease.
For a long time, life didn’t give me the opportunity to turn this passion into something more — until now.
These, I see people trying to sell their cars on platforms where listings get buried or overlooked. Even after paying for promotion, they’re met with low offers, no-shows, and unnecessary frustration. Eventually, many settle — often selling for far less than their car deserves.
I also see buyers who are overwhelmed and unsure. They sift through poorly written listings, low-quality photos, and conflicting information, only to arrive at viewings where the car hasn’t been serviced and the photos posted online are 3 years old.
That’s why I created Car Addicts — a place where both buyers and sellers are respected. Where every vehicle is inspected, professionally photographed, and presented properly. A place where the right cars find the right people at a fair price, and where passion is matched with transparency.
When skilled professionals handle inspection, photography, and presentation, only genuinely good, well-prepared cars make it to auction.
